Startups

Throughout his professional career, Rami Reda has been recognized for his accomplishments as a Global Convenience Industry Achievement Award Winner and as a recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 for the Southern Ontario Region.

As a talented and successful entrepreneur, Rami Reda is no stranger to the hard work and dedication that it takes to see a startup grow, survive, and thrive. The proud son of two Lebanese immigrants, he watched his parents build, grow, and find success through multiple businesses in several industries. While learning about the various industries – convenience stores and ATM companies – he also learned invaluable lessons about entrepreneurship and its value.

As an entrepreneur, Rami learned how important it is to connect with your customer base and people with whom you interact. As a convenience store worker, Rami encountered people from all walks of life, and he learned how to respect and genuinely engage with all of them. He also learned just how blessed he was to be able to work in a business that provides such value to the community around it, especially when he is working side by side with his family. Watching his parents work, Rami learned not only how to grow and scale a business, but also how much he loved the work behind it.

To further sharpen his knowledge and hone his entrepreneurial skills, Rami Reda attended DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University. He graduated from the university with honors with his Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing, Sales, and Retail, focusing on Retail, Marketing, Advertising, Sales, and Strategy. As a student, Rami co-created 5 Days for the Homeless, an organization that has grown to more than 26 universities across seven Canadian provinces. He was also the recipient of the Deans List and Honours Award for the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.

Throughout his professional career, Rami has been recognized for his accomplishments as a Global Convenience Industry Achievement Award Winner and as a recipient of the Top 40 Under 40 for the Southern Ontario Region. He has amassed experience in retail management, real estate, industry development, consulting, event planning, public speaking, customer marketing, budget and revenue forecasting, and financial services, all of which help inform his decisions as an entrepreneur.

In his community, Rami has worked with the Police Chief’s Citizen Advisory Committee through the Hamilton Police Services. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Convenience Store Association for four years and the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce for six years.
